SBM (U) 2.0 is organizing a MASCOT Design Competition on World Environment Day (5th June, 2025) and is inviting all interested candidates of Assam to be a part of it. Winner prize money - Rs 30,000.

Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0 is planning a State-wide Mascot Design Competition on the occasion of the World Environment Day (05th June 2025), which is a part of our continuous efforts to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and public participation under the Swachh Bharat Mission(U), Assam. 

Swachh Bharat Mission – Urban 2.0, under Department of Housing & Urban Affairs government of Assam invites all the citizens of Assam to participate in the “Mascot Design Competition”. This is a unique opportunity for all communities, individuals of schools/colleges/organizations, and creative minds from across the state of Assam to come together and contribute for a cleaner, greener state by designing a mascot that symbolizes the spirit of Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban), Assam. 

The selected mascot will be featured in official campaigns, events, and promotional materials across the state, which will help to raise awareness and inspire civic responsibility. The winner will receive an attractive cash prize of ₹30,000 along with a certificate of recognition from Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban), Assam. 

Technical Parameters: 

1. The mascot must signify the essence of Swachh Bharat Mission Urban – “Swachh Assam” and its core elements: 

(i) Inspiration: Consider elements related to cleanliness like a clean environment, water, nature, or even traditional symbols of purity. 

(ii) Appearance: The mascot should be visually appealing and easy to recognize. It could be a friendly, anthropomorphic character (like a cartoonish figure). 

(iii) Local Relevance: Ensure the design is culturally relevant and resonates with the local population. 

(iv) Versatility: The design should work well in various formats, including print, digital media, and physical representations (like costumes). 

(v) Personality: Give the mascot a personality that encourages people to engage with cleanliness initiatives. For example, it could be cheerful, helpful, and proactive. 

(vi) Slogans: Consider integrating a catchy slogan or tagline with the mascot to reinforce the message of cleanliness. 

2. The mascot must be submitted in JPG, JPEG, PNG, PSD, CDR, Ai format. 

3. The mascot must be designed on a digital platform that can be easily replicated on websites, social media posts, and printed banners and so on. 

4. The winning participant must submit an open and editable mascot file. 5. The mascot must be an original design work. Any proof of plagiarism, imitation, replication, etc. shall lead to disqualification.

6. Participants should submit a brief (not more than 100 words) to explain the rationale and relevance of the designed mascot. 

7. The mascot should be designed in a coloured format. The size of the mascot may vary from 10 cm*10 cm to 30cm*30cm in either portrait or landscape mode. 

8. The mascot should be usable on the website, social media platforms, and printable such as stationary, signboards, magazines, commercials, holdings, standees, brochures, leaflets, pamphlets, souvenirs, and other publicity and marketing material for the promotion of swachhata.

9. The mascot image should be in high resolution. 

10. The mascot should look clean (not pixilated or bit-mapped) when viewed on-screen at 100%. 

11. Entries should not be submitted in compressed or self-extracting formats. 

12. The mascot design should not be imprinted or watermarked.

Important Dates:

1. Inviting Participants through google link from 02nd June 2025.

2. Launch of Mascot competition on 5th June.

3. Duration of competition from 5th June to 14th June (10 Days).

4. Review and final selection 16th June to 18th June (3 Days).

5. Result Announcement on 20th June.
